Organizational Statement

This Lead, Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator position will provide broad and deep technical expertise along with coordinating the work of the TexOk District EHS Department.


Responsibilities

Support Enbridge’s Path to Zero, Health and Safety Management System, and Six Lifesaving Rules Program. Responsible for achievement of EHS Objectives and Goals.

Oversee the TexOk District EHS team; however the main focus of the position is to provide technical expertise to the team. This position in will involve management of several members of the EHS team (Environmental Staff, Health and Safety Staff, and Administrator positions).

Participate in District Operation meetings as representative of EHS Department. Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local air quality regulations and manage regulatory citation issues.

Designated contact for all federal, state and local air compliance regulators. Coordinate and if needed participate in TCEQ/RRC/OCC/OSHA Inspections and Audits. Perform duties of the TexOk District (TX) Environmental Coordinator, Sr.

Manage efficiently dollars spent on EHS-related measures. Assist with preparation and participate in the Annual District Supervisor EHS Workshop. Respond and/or ensure appropriate reports associated with spills, emission events, and other emergency response activities are made.

Participate in EHS Audits of district facilities and ensure that all environmental-related action items are completed in a timely manner. Responsible for or ensure that all federal, state and local reporting of maintenance and upset emission events are performed in a timely manner. Strategize, coordinate, obtain and assist with air permitting new or modified facilities.

Requirements:
Qualifications

Engineering degree, Environmental degree, related degree or 15+ years of specific EHS experience with strong air permitting/compliance (as well as familiarity with other environmental media) and health/safety experience within the natural gas industry in Texas and Oklahoma.

Ability to work in a self guided, independent environment.Ability to manage the work of co-workers.Ability to manage multiple tasks.

Other qualifications include the ability to comprehend diverse regulatory, scientific and technical issues, and the ability to communicate, orally and written, to a wide variety of people, including employees, management, regulatory agencies, and the public. Must be able to work independently and also to coordinate and manage activities requiring the use of environmental, DOT and safety consultants or contractors.

Some travel required.
