Husky is seeking an IS Security Analyst to provide monitoring and management of Information security policies. The role is responsible for analyzing Husky’s information security environment and recommending security measures to safeguard its valuable information assets. This means understanding the accreditation requirements for Information security and how to manage compliance.
The IS Security Analyst acts as an advisor to the enterprise's business units, as well as to other risk management functions. For this reason, an up-to-date understanding of the latest security threats, trends and technologies is a crucial component of the position.
Specific responsibilities will include:

Maintain an awareness of potential security threats, as well as security solutions and related policies
Manage the department’s security policies and provide guidance on their use
Manage escalated security incidents and IS forensic investigations as required in conjunction with legal and HR
Assess, monitor, and evaluate security vulnerabilities / exposures and translate these into business impacts, making recommendations to mitigate risk
Evaluate and recommend security technologies, methodologies, process and procedures
Maintain the definition of the department’s quality management systems and support the department in providing quality assurance and control
Manage and monitoring compliance with security processes and policies

Requirements:
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

University Degree in applied sciences like engineering, systems design, computer sciences or business or other related field
IT Security Certification (CISSP, CISA, CISM, SANS) is desirable
Minimum 5 years’ experience working with IS in an oil and gas domain would be an asset
Minimum 5 years’ experience as an IT Security Analyst
Minimum 5 years’ experience in progressively advancing roles within IT
5+ years experience in an information security or system administration role
Experience capturing business and technical requirements to understand vulnerabilities, threats and threat probabilities
Experience identifying technical risks and providing appropriate level of mitigating controls
Experience conducting Technical Security Assessments on infrastructure, applications and platforms would be an asset
Experience developing technical security baselines and standards
Experience managing security tools (example: Vulnerability Management, Anti-virus, IDS/IPS, FW, etc…)
Experience with data and IS-related security monitoring and investigations
Experience with regulatory compliance (ie: PCI, SOX)
Microsoft Office experience
Proven technical competency in IT security
Superior organizational and prioritization skills
A mature perspective on Architecture and its role in a dynamic company
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Exceptional interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation and negotiation
Understanding of the political environment of the enterprise, and how to navigate the political barriers
