JOB OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Team Leader of Commercial Road Transport (CRT) Sales, the CRT Sales Account Manager will be responsible for growing the SuperPass commercial fleet program, primarily through the Retail sales channel, in the province of Alberta. The primary role of the CRT Sales Account Manager will be to sell the benefits of the SuperPass program and to sign up new clients to the SuperPass Fleet Program, while also providing service and support to existing clients and leveraging any sales and growth opportunities within a base portfolio of accounts.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Accountable for territory administration and all aspects of sales territory management including: the development of a territory sales plan, completion of monthly and quarterly territory reviews including monitoring progress towards achievement of monthly operational and growth performance measures and managing deviations from targets
Develop new business opportunities to achieve SuperPass growth plans, by following the sales funnel process: prospecting, qualifying leads, identifying customer needs, negotiating and closing opportunities for new or incremental sales, and updating Customer Relationship Management system, in a timely manner
Prospect new SuperPass sales opportunities and follow through on sales leads provided from various sources (Customer Service Network, website, retailers, trade associations, etc.) to secure new business, while satisfying clients' fleet needs
Manage a base portfolio of accounts, offering service and support, while also focusing on growth and optimization opportunities
Collaborate with trade associations, Petro-Canada's retail Field Selling Force and other internal stakeholders to secure and grow SuperPass clients, with the primary goal of driving business to Petro-Canada retail sites and leveraging integrated growth opportunities
Provide best in class service and customer relationship management for existing and new customer accounts
Demonstrate the SuperPass Online (SPOL) functionality including the benefits, features and reporting to prospective and existing clients
Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients
Develop and/or enhance internal and external relationships by sharing ideas, fostering team building and participating in the sales development process
Develop and facilitate sales plans to capitalize on market opportunities, and implement feasible tactics to grow the SuperPass portfolio and achieve key performance measures (including annual volume, margin and expense targets)

Requirements:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

University education in a relevant field (business, commerce, finance, economics)
Previous work experience in a territory management, sales capacity is preferred
Extensive experience building relationships, credibility and trust with customers and internal resources

Skills and Knowledge:

Skilled at negotiating successful contracts and outcomes with the ability to expertly present ideas, influence decisions, achieve consensus and build relationships and credibility
Expert at developing and delivering comprehensive customer presentations with the ability to develop key long term relationships across multiple levels of customer and Suncor organizations
Self-directed, motivated and focused, with an ability to successfully secure new business
Strong listening skills and ability to focus on customer needs and solutions selling
Demonstrates a solid understanding of the sales cycle, sales processes, customer tiering, account planning and account life cycle management
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
Familiarity with industries such as fleet, transportation, construction, manufacturing, trucking, government, etc.
Strong knowledge of retail competitive environment
Highly developed interpersonal and non-authoritative leadership (NAL) skills
Sound problem solving and decision making skills
Strong analytic capabilities
Strong business acumen , financial literacy and negotiation skills
Ability to present ideas, achieve consensus and build relationships, credibility and trust
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and promote effective team performance
Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office programs and SAP, which is an asset
Previous customer relationship management (CRM) experience

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

This role is based out of a home office
Residence in either Calgary or Edmonton areas would help facilitate territory management and travel
Significant travel primarily within the province of Alberta
Company vehicle will be provided
Valid driver's license is required
