Enerplus Corp
Oil and Gas Environment
Calgary, AB, Canada

Description:
One of the most important investment decisions you’ll make is where you spend your career.

Enerplus is a high-energy North American oil and natural gas exploration and production company. We’re proud of what we do, how we got here and where we’re going. We want you to grow along with us -- in a place where you can be fearlessly authentic and empowered to reach your full potential.

Environmental Coordinator: Our Environment and Sustainability team is looking for a full-time Environmental Coordinator to assist in the management of Enerplus’ reclamation portfolio, based in Calgary. Reporting to the Team Lead, Environment, our new Environmental Coordinator will play a key role in coordinating, facilitating, and supervising reclamation field consultants and environmental companies to complete Phase I’s, II’s, remediation, detailed site assessments, and ensuring integrity of our reclamation applications. Sound right for you? Read on.

To be successful in this role, the following characteristics describe you…

PASSIONATE ABOUT THE ENVIRONMENT AND REDUCING RISK – Working with field consultants and partnering with several environmental companies, you know the ins and outs of highly effective reclamation processes. Preparing AFEs, interpreting technical documents, and managing to a budget are nothing new to you – and that’s great, because you’ll need those skills in this role too. Savvy with Siteview and Sharepoint, you’ll help direct and provide support for users of these systems so that our reclamation process is seamless.

ENJOYS COLLABORATING TO SOLVE PROBLEMS AND PREVENT ISSUES BEFORE THEY OCCUR – This role involves partnering well with others – which is good, because teamwork comes naturally to you. You’ll focus most of your energy on reducing our environmental risk through reduction of liability and enhancements of opportunities. Your proactive outlook and curiosity for solving matters before they become problems. Not only that, you will work with stakeholders across and outside of Enerplus. One day that might mean collaborating with our acquisition and divestments teams to support decision making. Another looks like coordinating groundwater and soil monitoring programs at certain facilities. Yet another could be helping our field teams and external partners in the event of spill response and remediation.

Requirements:
YOUR EXPERIENCE IN ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP SHINES – Chances are, your ten plus years of experience in reclamation coordination and ability to manage reclamation projects is backed by a degree in environmental science. You enjoy keeping an eye on environmental regulatory updates and look forward to helping effectively implement changes in site closure processes across all three provinces we operate in. As an experienced professional, people will openly seek your advice on environmental stewardship at Enerplus.

Now that we have you excited about this opportunity, feel free to apply through our website at www.enerplus.com, via the Careers/Canadian opportunities section.

By applying for this position, you consent to the collection, use and necessary disclosure of the personal information provided during the application and selection process.
