Job Summary:

The Programmer/Analyst position requires a candidate who can code software applications to adhere to designs supporting internal business requirements. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, with strong work ethic. They must have strong time-management and prioritization skills. The Programmer/Analyst position requires the ability to identify, analyze and solve complex problems. The Programmer/Analyst must use sound judgment and demonstrate a high level of technical knowledge. They must be driven to complete all projects and reports on time and adhere to standardized quality assurance procedures for software development. They Programmer/Analyst will oversee report testing and develop fixes. They must possess strong written skills and must document all work and will be responsible for updating and maintain the user catalog. The Programmer/Analyst must have a sound knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and development procedures. They must rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. The Programmer/Analyst must be able to perform a variety of tasks and work well under general supervision

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop new reports using Actuate e.Reports Designer and Microsoft SSRS.
• Enhance existing reports, correct bugs and implement minor change requests.
• Build SQL queries over SQL Server and DB2/400
• Assist with SQL Server administration
• Work with Business Analyst to develop sound design documentation.
• Maintain the Actuate Report Catalog and User Guide with information pertaining to all new, updated, modified or enhanced Actuate reports.
• Administer Actuate reporting server.
• Work with SQL, ETL, SSIS, and SSAS.

Requirements:
Minimum Requirements:

Bachelors degree in computer science or related discipline.
3-5 years report writing experience using Actuate, SSRS, Crystal or Cognos ReportNet.
3-5 years' experience RDBMS experience with strong understanding of SQL, ETL, SSIS, SSAS.
Experience with graphical reporting solutions TIBCO SpotFire, MS Performance Point or Quickview or Tableau a plus.
Working knowledge of Data Warehouse concepts, including OLAP cubes.
General knowledge of the E&P oil and gas industry is preferred. Including knowledge of E&P operations and production software solutions, accounting data structure, and knowledge of Horizon would be a plus.
Basic development skills with experience using Visual Basic, C#, SQL, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, SharePoint, Actuate (RPG knowledge a plus.)
Working knowledge of SharePoint Reporting Services platform including Excel Services, PowerView, PowerPivot, and PerformancePoint.
