JOB OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Manager of Maintenance Coordination, this position is accountable to Lead and direct the delivery of safe, ready to work equipment to floor Heavy Equipment Technicians (HET's) to allow efficient execution of work schedule. This position is located in Fort McMurray

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Maintain communication between shop supervisors, Maintenance Coordinators (M/C) and workforce to prioritize work assignments in order to enable the shop to meet schedules
Implement and maintain visual management systems to allow real time audit of current state
Work with Supply Chain Management (SCM) and vendors to optimize equipment cost efficiency
Current scope is all of Mine Equipment Maintenance (MEM) Trucks with possible future application in Mine Equipment Maintenance (MEM) Shovels/Trax and Light Vehicle Fleet (LVF) areas

Requirements:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

Must have a Grade 12 or GED
Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician or related mechanical trade qualification.
Supervisory experience (5 yrs. min)
Must have a clean drivers abstract (no more than 2 infractions in 2 years and no suspensions)

Skills and Knowledge:

Strong safety attitude
Familiar with Mine Equipment Maintenance (MEM) vendor interaction processes
Proficient with SAP, Excel, Word, Outlook
Trained and/or experience with Visual Management/ 5S concepts
Improvement mindset
Project experience a definite asset
