JOB OVERVIEW

The role is accountable for Asset Information development activities for all of Fort Hills Assets which include Primary Extraction, Secondary Extraction, Energy and Utilities, and Infrastructure and Tailings.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Health Safety Environment- effective application of Field Level Risk Assessments (FLRA), Focused Observations, Incident Learning Program (ILP), and all health, safety and environmental standards - responsible for addressing actions arising from HSE audits - ensure compliance to all relevant external regulatory requirements
Ensure compliance to all relevant Suncor policies and standards - including the Management of Change (MoC) process, and maintenance and reliability business processes - input into the development of area-specific procedures and standards
Highly visible in the workplace
Participate in the recruitment and development of capable and competent maintenance personnel - establish clear expectations and goals, review and manage performance, ensure provision appropriate training and development
Work with Operations, Maintenance and Technical teams to prioritize, schedule and resource all maintenance work - execute the approved work schedule
Provide feedback to Maintenance, Operations and Technical to improve effectiveness of maintenance strategies and procedures
Track/monitor maintenance KPIs - report deviation from targets and develop corrective actions Provide input the annual maintenance plan
Provide input into equipment selection decisions

Requirements:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Educational Qualifications:

7 - 10 years asset management experience with Operations, Maintenance and Technical functions
Background in SAP Enterprise is considered an asset
Trade Certificate/Diploma or a Degree in Engineering

Skills and Knowledge:

Prior supervisory experience is desirable
Ability to manage conflicting priorities and execute with limited supervision
Effective communicator - both written and verbal - with ability to develop strong cross-functional working relationships
Familiar with and competent in SAP
Good computer skills - specifically MS Office
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings such as Process Flow Diagrams (PFD's), Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID's), General Arrangements (GA's), piping isometrics, electrical and mechanical drawings, single line drawings, etc is highly desirable
Specific equipment: electric and hydraulic shovels/loaders, electric and mechanical drive haul trucks, crushers/sizers, conveyors, screens, pumps, pressure vessels, tanks, piping, package boilers, HV electrical distribution systems, steam/power co-generation, etc

Additional Information:

As part of the Fort Hills business, this role is expected to be based in Calgary
Future visits to the Fort Hills Site will be required on a regular basis
