Husky's Heavy Oil and Gas (HOG) Business Unit is looking for a Senior Staff Reservoir Engineer to join the Cold Production Reservoir Engineering team. As a member of this team the successful incumbent will provide technical support for the exploitation activities of the Alberta and Saskatchewan Asset teams.

Reporting to the Reservoir Manager - Cold Production, the successful candidate’s responsibilities will include but will not be limited to the following:

Conducting engineering studies and/or reservoir simulations, including model construction and history matching, of primary and/or EOR processes
Optimizing depletion strategies for existing pools and potential new pools
Providing operational guidance for EOR projects
Providing production forecasts and reserve estimates for assigned areas
Developing tools for trouble shooting and optimizing reservoir engineering operations
Keeping abreast of new heavy oil recovery technologies
Providing support for acquisitions and divestures as required
Conducting competitor analyses
Supporting the Husky Operational Integrity Management System (HOIMS) by developing, implementing, practicing and/or communicating appropriate processes, systems and procedures with a focus on Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E).

Requirements:
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

A Bachelor of Science or Master of Science Degree in Engineering
Registered or eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer with APEGA
A minimum of 15 years of reservoir/exploitation engineering experience, with at least 3 years of reservoir simulation experience using a commercial reservoir simulator
Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin experience
Experience modeling EOR processes
Experience with CMG STARS would be considered an asset
A positive, dynamic, creative, self-starter
Proven ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
Superior analytical skills to identify key issues based on relevant data and provide appropriate solutions/recommendations
Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills
Adaptable to a variable working environment with different tasks, responsibilities and people
