Crescent Point is currently seeking to fill the following position:



Job Title: Learning and Development Specialist

Location: Calgary, Alberta

Reports to: Team Lead, People Relations


The following will provide you with basic guidelines as to the duties required of this position.



Purpose:



The Learning and Development Specialist will be responsible for learning and development initiatives across the Company. They will work with the Human Resources (HR) team, the People Relations team (within HR), the Manager, Human Resources and the appropriate stakeholders to execute the corporate vision for these initiatives. The successful candidate will have a focus on offering high quality service and being a trusted partner to the business. This position deals with highly confidential material and therefore requires an individual who can deal with this in the utmost professional manner.



Main Responsibilities & Activities:

Execute the design, launch, coordination and communication of learning strategies and programs within the company including Career Development, Leadership Development, Team Chartering, Coaching and Mentoring, Leader Orientation, and Employee Engagement
Collaborate with subject-matter experts and content owners on training design, development, delivery and measurement
Develop methods and tools to measure learning effectiveness and ROI
Develop a corporate communications strategy to ensure ongoing awareness of training programs and initiatives on an ongoing basis
Expand expertise in the areas of learning and development, instructional design, and adult education; incorporate best practices and innovative approaches into training programs
Responsible for the development, project management, communication and execution of an internal training program:
Work collaboratively with leaders and employees to develop a comprehensive learning plan and implementation approach that aligns with the business strategic requirements
Create and manage the budget
Coordinate monthly status reports
Vendor sourcing and management
Collaborate with field leadership (when required) to develop plan for integration of strategies with remote locations
Responsible for planning and organizing executive and management retreats, field tours and other development events as required
Support employee group by responding to inquiries on the Company’s training and development initiatives
Other projects as required

Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Degree or Diploma in Human Resources or adult learning/education is required
Minimum 5 years of experience in Human Resources is required
Minimum 2 years of direct training and development/organization development/change management experience is required
Facilitation experience is required
Oil and gas industry experience would be an asset
CHRP designation would be an asset
Excellent communication and project management skills are required
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment is required
Enthusiastic individual with excellent organizational and time management skills
Must be analytical, strategic and thoughtful with an ability to make recommendations and influence outcomes
Proven ability to build strong partnerships with all levels of employees and business relationships
Self-starter capable of working independently with minimal supervision
Team player who enjoys learning and contributing to team goals
