Description:
Position Description

• Follows Kinder Morgan and Phillips66 procedures, policies, safety rules, security rules and federal/state laws
• Operate 45 ton bridge crane to move coke from pit to coke pile
• Operate locomotive to load railcars
• Load chute to load railcars
• Operate D-9 to move coke from stacker to pile and from pile to FD-1 feeder to load railcars
• Operate conveyor system to convey coke from pit to coke pile
• Perform routine and non-routine maintenance tasks to keep conveyor and equipment in operation
• Connect hydraulic hoses, belts, and mechanical linkage to provide power to raise, lower or tilt blade attachment
• Operate bulldozer in successive passes over terrain to raise or lower terrain to specified grade
• Work with various Operators to learn responsibilities of crane operation and trains to operate crane
• Maintain equipment by performing dip stick, sight glass, removable cap and any other designated fluid level checks prior to use
• Grease, oil, and perform minor repairs on crane, dozer or front-end loader daily
• Inspect railcar doors for open doors and closes doors to prevent spills
• Regulate train speed to prevent spills or weight variations among cars
• Observe gauges and lights on control panel to detect malfunctions of conveyor system
• Shut system down in emergencies and notifies Supervision of nature of emergency
• Performs activities of co-workers
• Train new equipment operators

Requirements:
Position Requirements

• Must be willing to work day or night shifts / overtime hours during the week or weekend hours
• Must have bridge crane operating experience, dozer operating experience and perform work in elevated positions
• Must be willing to carry company issued cellular telephone and/or pager and be on-call for repair work as may be required
• In order to appropriately perform the essential duties of this job, regular work attendance is required
• Must possess and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator’s driver license and have the willingness to use personal and/or company vehicle in the course of employment
• Must possess heavy equipment operator’s certification for equipment being operated and when required
• Will need take and pass a comprehensive dozer/front-end loader operation test after 90 days of supervised training
• Will be required to complete requirements outlined on the dozer evaluation form to confirm operator capabilities
• Must be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisors, keep required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules

Preferred Experience, Skills and Knowledge
• All other heavy equipment operating experience is helpful
