Description:
This full-time position is located in our Calgary office and reports directly to the Asset Manager.

You will be a key member of the Asset team dedicated to the reservoir management and depletion plan for one of Enerplus’ key focused development areas. You will be tasked with managing the development of existing pools, with a focus on increasing the recovery and cash flow through the use of technology. Enerplus has an exciting portfolio of opportunities in oil where we have approximately 2 billion barrels of oil under development. We are in the process of assessing IOR and EOR development throughout the portfolio and will be using infill drilling, IOR, EOR, and optimized completion technologies to increase recovery and cash flow from these assets.

Overall Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities:
• Contribute as a member of a multi-disciplined team in conducting well by well optimization assessments
• Optimize depletion strategies of existing pools and any potential new pools with a strong emphasis on waterflood management for oil pools
• Provide input into the reserves assessment
• Provide input, direction and assessment/evaluation on the implementation depletion improvement schemes within existing assets
• Identify and coordinate technical data gathering & analysis
• Assist teams in assessing project risk and uncertainty on capital programs
• Evaluate assets for acquisition
• Mentor junior and intermediate Reservoir Engineering staff in practical and analytical processes for implementation into their work processes

Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
• University degree in Engineering and a registered APEGA member
• Minimum 8 years related industry experience directly involved with reservoir engineering aspects
• Demonstrated success in practical waterflood management and expansion in complex oil reservoirs and/or development of tight gas assets
• Experience with advanced Decline Curve Analysis, OFM, Reservoir Simulation & CMG Suite is an asset
• Highly organized with excellent analytical, integration and project management abilities
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and team focused skills
• Results oriented, decisive and self-motivated with excellent attention to detail
