Description:
Senior Project Controller will see to the delivery of effective financial oversight and project financial execution, including protecting CB&I’s financial interest. Develops comprehensive understanding of all commercial issues in the contract, billing terms and cycles, as well as compliance with company standards.



Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:



Develop comprehensive understanding of all commercial issues in the contract.
Ensure all insurance coverages are maintained in accordance with the contract and assist with insurance claims preparation and expediting any settlements.
Maintain a register of all guarantees between the company and client/banks/vendors, etc.
Assist in development of terms and conditions with subcontractors and vendors.
Perform financial health evaluation of major suppliers/subcontractors.
Develop comprehensive understanding of the billing terms and cycle - and ensure efficient process to achieve timely billings.
Prepare cash, revenue and profit forecasts throughout life of the project.
Fully analyze/understand any significant difference between the physical and cost-to-cost assessments of progress.
Liaise with corporate treasury on hedging needs.
Manage the application of project ECA financing requirements.
Ensure compliance with company standards/processes.
Ensure compliance with all local tax and commercial laws – including withholding taxes, VAT tax, etc.
Manage local tax audits by accounting firm or authorities.
Ensure compliance with ECA requirements.
Analyze and explain material cost/revenue/cash flow differences from prior forecasts/plans.
Prepare lease vs. buy analysis for possible asset purchases
Attend periodic project review meetings with clients.
Coordinate physical asset inventories as needed.
Understand and provide input to the risk register maintained by the project team.
Closely monitor and review the change order register.
Assist with compilation of support for contentious change order/claims (with customers or vendors).
Coordinate with HR to ensure local employees are employed/paid in accordance with local laws.
Manage expatriate payrolls in a cost-effective manner and in compliance with local employment and tax requirements.
Ensure site employee cash needs are met in a structured/controlled manner.
Coordinate with country/regional finance director on local audit needs.
Identify resource needs and work with country/regional/corporate finance groups to fill key roles.
Source junior level roles from the local market to ensure overall team cost is controlled.
Coordinate internal/external training as needed.
Ensure all project finance staff receives adequate training and guidance.
