Functions and duties

The Biofuels Trader will be responsible for the development and promotion of vegetal oils and biofuels trading, interacting with companies involved in the refining, distribution, transportation, storage, blending and sale of vegetal oils, hydrocarbons, chemicals and biofuels. The successful candidate will have thorough knowledge and experience in trading vegetal oils including derivatives management. Knowledge of products such as: biodiesel, ethanol, diesel , etc, will be desirable.

MAIN ROLES
Providing Derivatives Management, including Hedging.
• Sourcing of vegetal oils, recycled vegetal oils, biodiesel and blending for those products, if needed.
• Contributing to development of business contracts, including evaluation and development of new opportunities.
• Participating in negotiations, as needed.
• Remaining current on the legal and economic issues and the countries biofuels mandates affecting the biofuels industry.

Requirements:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in vegetal oils trading and or biofuels trading and or petroleum products trading.
• Ability to travel into South America, south East Asia and Europe.
• Strong knowledge of European, Asian and Latin America biofuels and agricultural Markets.
• Strong knowledge of Arbitrage Play.
• Knowledge of agricultural physical and derivatives markets.
• Demonstrated exemplary negotiation skills.

Spanish/English language capability.
• Knowledge in mineral fuels market
• Knowledge of managing storage facilities.
