Position Overview



We are currently searching for a Maintenance Planner to support the Field Maintenance Group in our Edson operating unit. The individual in this position will be responsible for the safe and efficient execution of planning and estimating maintenance work orders and usage of CMMS to manage work priority with input from operations, develop job plans, define crafts and skills and engage the proper resources to develop a safe, work plan which will result in minimum downtime and maximum productivity.


Responsibilities



Create, maintain and continuously improve job plans.
Create detailed job plans identifying: scope of work, accurate estimate of labor, material, safety precautions, and tools required.
Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
Ability to build strong relationships with key internal and external personnel.
Establish and maintain ongoing preventative maintenance programs.
Assist with the coordination of all facility mechanical, electrical and instrumentation preventative & corrective maintenance activities.
Assist the Maintenance Foreman in developing the annual budget and forecasting future budgets.
Understand and follow the Management of Change Process.
Assist with scheduling and support of other planners as required.
Plan and prioritize work, making sure it is completed according to priorities.

Requirements:
Qualifications



Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:



A Journeyman Trade Certificate or related technical certificate along with a minimum Grade 12 diploma.
More than 5 years of related maintenance experience in an oil and gas environment.
A working knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems, preferably Maximo.
A professional planner certification or be willing to work towards one.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the troubleshooting and resolution of equipment related problems and issue.
Strong computer skills in MS Office Products.
A valid class 5 driver’s license. The successful candidate must provide a recent driver’s abstract for a five year period.
An understanding of safe work guidelines, policies and procedures.
The ability to organize and prioritize workload.
Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.

Additional Information



Only candidates who are legally permitted to work in Canada will be considered.
