Members of our Accounting and Finance team have the opportunity to gain exposure to a broad spectrum of business and financial services.

Our Operations Accountant - Joint Venture positions provide a well-rounded opportunity covering revenue, capital, royalty and operating expenditures.

You will gain exposure to a wide variety of Operations Accounting processes and will have the opportunity to:
• Process capital, revenue, royalty and expense amounts in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with the terms of the governing agreements
• Perform applicable production accounting duties, royalty calculations, accruals and crown royalty variance analysis
• Maintain positive relationships with internal and external partners, managing internal queries and resolving payment disputes
• Analyze operations summaries to ensure accuracy and completeness of bookings
• Monitor accounts receivable, accounts payable, trial balance and revenue suspense accounts
• Set up and maintain permanent property files and monthly transaction files

Future Operations Accountant opportunities range from junior to senior level roles.

Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Typically 2+ years of oil and gas accounting experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Working towards a CPA accounting designation
• Familiarity with and understanding of:
o Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Excel
o EnterpriseOne (E1)
o JIBLINK
o PRISM
o PAS
